It was a passion for riding and racing that planted the seed that started Jenson USA, and this same love of cycling has been foundational to us as a company built for riders by riders. We’ve put a lot of efforts and focus on our local cycling community ranging from trail building and maintenance, group rides and clinics, to advocating for cycling infrastructure in local politics. Our desire to support, nurture, and grow the cycling community is, however, not limited to our backyard. We had to think creatively to find a meaningful way to support the trails, clubs, and riders beyond our corner of the map. That’s why we came up with our Keep Pedaling Advocacy Hats. We ask our customers to submit cycling and trail advocacy groups that they want us to support and we bi-anually take a vote to see who we should support. We donate 100% of all proceeds from the sale of each hat to the winning, rider-selected advocacy group. Not only does the hat inspire riders to Keep Pedaling, but it also helps to fund groups across the U.S. who are building our greater cycling community. Plus, it looks really cool too! Join us in helping to grow cycling across this nation.
We're committed to supporting the organizations that matter most to our customers. In 2018, we're donating 100% of all proceeds from our JensonUSA Trucker Hats to local and nationwide trail building and advocacy efforts.
The San Diego Mountain Biking Association, founded in 1994, works to improve trail access for mountain biking in San Diego County. SDMBA is a volunteer-driven 501c3 non-profit organization focused on trail advocacy, trail building and maintenance, and education for all trail users. SDMBA strives to provide a unified voice for mountain bikers and works to form partnerships with land managers, agencies, businesses, and communities that improve mountain biking opportunities across the county.
Club Scrub is a Florida-based non-profit mountain biking club that maintains over nine miles of off-road mountain bike trails at the Camp Murphy trail system, located within Jonathan Dickinson State Park. All our funding for trail improvements comes from donations, sponsors, merchandise sales & memberships. All the work is performed by volunteers.
Our employees and customers are dedicated to sustaining cycling as a sport. Many of our customers and employees are passionate participants in local race leagues and group rides. From sponsoring NICA mountain bike teams nationwide and annual participation in events like the Sea Otter Classic and the Amgen Tour of California, we're committed to furthering cycling as a sport in a multitude of ways.
We take pride in knowing our neighbors and are always looking for ways to work together to improve our local community. Each year, our Kommute for Kids initiative provides bikes for elementary school kids in underserved areas. Partnerships with local trail regulators and participation in city cycling advocacy events provide frequent opportunities to contribute our voice and resources. We're humbled by the opportunity to help shape the present and future of bike culture in our area.
Part of being involved in a thriving community is our partnership with leading organizations that promote bicycle access not just locally but throughout the world. Each year our employees join together with our customers in donating bicycles to World Bicycle Relief on Giving Tuesday. As a member of the IMBA board, our CEO, Mike Cachat, is able to provide critical input into mountain bike initiatives in our backyard and throughout the world.
The Jenson USA family's reach extends far and wide whether on or off the clock or on or off the bike. We love hearing from employees and customers about the ways they stay inspired to Keep Pedaling. We keep tabs on weekend rides through Social Media and continue to host local monthly rides from our Riverside, California HQ, and Corona, California stores.
